The PVE Griže – Veliko Polje project, located in the Municipality of Sežana, represents an important step in developing Slovenia’s energy infrastructure and supports the goals of the EU and the National Energy and Climate Plan (NEPN).
This is a balanced approach to the energy future, including environmental protection, local community involvement, and innovative technologies. The project is currently in the preparation phase of expert studies. These will be followed by preparing an Environmental Report, which will serve as a basis for further decision-making and selecting the most suitable option.
The Griže – Veliko Polje location was chosen due to favorable wind conditions, appropriate altitude, accessibility via existing road infrastructure, proximity to the Divača substation (RTP), and secured cableway easements.
